We offer up to seven spots on the Domino Stage every year for an adjudicated festival.
You provide the finished production, we provide the stage.
The best production, as selected by our panel of three judges, may be remounted at the Eastern Ontario Drama League’s One-Act Festival held in Merrickville from November 7-9, 2025.
Come Play by the Lake Festival dates: July 4th and 5th, 2025 at Domino Theatre.
Your one-act play must be a minimum of 25 minutes and a maximum of 55 minutes with no intermission. Times are inclusive of any pre- and/or post-production music.
In the application form, please submit:
- a summary of the play, including what genre (comedy, drama, mystery, etc...) and a brief synopsis
- an artist statement - a written description of an artist's ideas, intentions, and creative process for their work. Usually written in the first person and intended to help the selection committee and adjudicators understand the artist's work.
- 3-5 pages of the script
- Please note: there is a mandatory production meeting on April 6, 2025 in the Domino Theatre lounge.
